Give to Get!

6-30-2009. . . . .Give to Get!

“Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.” ( Luke 6:38 KJV) An open and extended hand can fulfill a dual purpose. . . .giving and receiving. The principle espoused by Jesus in St. Luke 6 teaches that one actually facilitates the other. ‘Giving’ opens the door to receiving! This is not just exclusive to finances! Give love. . . get love. . . .kindness. . . .get kindness. . . .friendliness. . . get friendliness! What you send out is what comes back to you. “Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. (Gal 6:7 KJV) If you are not please with what you have been receiving, take a moment and examine what you have been giving! You could very well be receiving the returns of what you have been sending out. Want to receive something different. . . .try giving something different first; then, watch the principle work for you!

Prayer: Lord, thank you for being our example for giving! Help me to be a giver who receives and not a receiver who gives. Amen!

Gal 6:9-10. . . .And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith. KJV

Are You Ready?

6-29-2009. . . .Are You Ready?

The story is told of a rich man who one day sent his servant into town to buy supplies. While there he saw Death in the market place. Seeing Death scared him so bad that he hurried back to his master’s house. His master inquired what was the matter? The servant replied, I saw death while in the market places. . . .give me your fastest steed that I might flee to the next town. Being a concerned and compassionate master, he granted his servant’s request. The master then went to the market place and found Death! He explained to Death, I sent my servant into town to get supplies and while here he saw you. It scared him so bad that he ran away to the next town. Death replied, I didn’t mean to scare your servant, but I do have an appointment with him in the next town! Every one of us has an appointment with death and we do not have the option or privilege of cancellation. Live today so that when death comes (and it will come) it will be welcome. “And as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment. . .”( Heb 9:27-28 NKJV) Are you ready?

Prayer: Lord, because of you, I have no fear of death or when it shall come! Thank you for securing me and giving me eternal like.

2 Cor 5:1. . . .For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. KJV

Be Still!

6-25-2009. . . .Be Still!

In the modern world in which we live it is easy to become occupied and preoccupied with any number of activities, events and endeavors. These involvements keep us in such constant motion that sometimes we can’t tell if we are going are coming. In the hustle and bustle of your life, remember to reserve some time to ‘be still’. In those moments of stillness you will be able to discern and receive God’s instruction and direction. ‘Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth." (Ps 46:10 NIV) Motion and movement are not indicative of presence. Elijah witnessed the Wind, the Earthquake and the Fire (motion & movement) but the Lord’s presence was not in them. After these however, he heard a ‘still small voice.’ (ref. I Kings 19:11-12) Don’t let your preoccupations and occupations keep you from acknowledging that God is in control and he has everything under control. So go ahead . . . .do what you do, but in all your doing, ‘Be Still.’

Prayer: Lord, You are the Lord and Mighty God! All things are in Your control and under your control. Help me never become so preoccupied or occupied that I don’t have time to be still and know that you are God. Amen!

Isa 45:5-7. . . . I am the LORD, and there is no other; apart from me there is no God. I will strengthen you, though you have not acknowledged me, so that from the rising of the sun to the place of its setting men may know there is none besides me. I am the LORD, and there is no other. I form the light and create darkness, I bring prosperity and create disaster; I, the LORD, do all these things. NIV

The Omnificent God!

6-23-2009 . . . . The Omnificent God!

When we think about the attributes of our awesome God, three commonly known ones come immediately to mind. OMNIPOTANT. . . .having all power and authority. . . OMNISCIENT. . . .having all knowledge. . . .OMNIPRESENT. . . .continually and simultaneously present everywhere. A forth attribute is OMNIFICENT. . . .having ultimate power to create! Our God who created everything, yet processes the power to create. We take for granted that because all we know of has already been created, that there is nothing else left to be created! By doing so however, we limit God and we limit ourselves from the possibilities of allowing God to create something totally new and different in our lives. “Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert. (Isa 43:18-19 KJV) No circumstance or situation can be deemed hopeless on the basis that we have exhausted all humanly possible options. The ‘OMNIFICENT’ God can still, as the old adage says, “Make a way out of no way!”

Prayer: Lord you are awesome in all your ways. Who You are is who You have always been and will always be. I need never find myself in a place of hopelessness and helplessness. You are my all and all! Amen.

Ps 145:1-6. . . .I will extol thee, my God, O king; and I will bless thy name for ever and ever. Every day will I bless thee; and I will praise thy name for ever and ever. Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised; and his greatness is unsearchable. One generation shall praise thy works to another, and shall declare thy mighty acts. I will speak of the glorious honour of thy majesty, and of thy wondrous works. And men shall speak of the might of thy terrible acts: and I will declare thy greatness. KJV

Do Good!

6-22-2009. . . .Do Good!

“Do not withhold good from those who deserve it, when it is in your power to act.” (Prov 3:27 NIV) What a thought provoking verse of scripture. Would you ever really consider withholding good from anyone, let alone those that deserve it? To do so, especially when it is in your power to act would absolutely be out of character for a believer. In fact, one would set themselves up for a boomerang effect. What you send out will return to you. Certainly, we expect good from others and even more so from God. The consequences for doing otherwise is unacceptable. “Do good, O LORD, to those who are good, to those who are upright in heart. But those who turn to crooked ways the LORD will banish with the evildoers.” (Ps 125:4-5 NIV) Today, seek out as many people as you can and do good to them. It does not have to be something big. Perhaps a genuine warm smile. . . .a timely kind word. . . .taking a little extra work for yourself to lighten a co-workers load. They will receive good and you will feel good!

Prayer: Lord, you are good and you do good! Help me to do good always especially when it is in my power to do so. Holy Spirit, direct me today to opportunities of doing good to others. Amen!

Heb 13:16. . . . And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased. NIV

Just Do It!

6-19-2009. . . . Just Do It!

“Getting wisdom is the most important thing you can do! And with your wisdom, develop common sense and good judgment. If you exalt wisdom, she will exalt you. Hold her fast, and she will lead you to great honor; she will place a beautiful crown upon your head. My son, listen to me and do as I say, and you will have a long, good life.”( Prov 4:7-10 TLB) The getting of wisdom is not a difficult task. Simply, ask the Lord for it. “If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.” ( James 1:5-6 NKJV) What more need be said. Just do it!

Prayer: Lord, give me your wisdom coupled with understanding. Let them be as good and faithful shepherds guiding all my decisions and governing my emotions. Amen!

Prov 2:10-15. . . . For wisdom will enter your heart, and knowledge will be pleasant to your soul. Discretion will protect you, and understanding will guard you. Wisdom will save you from the ways of wicked men, from men whose words are perverse, who leave the straight paths to walk in dark ways, who delight in doing wrong and rejoice in the perverseness of evil, whose paths are crooked and who are devious in their ways. The Keeping Power of God's Love!

6-18-2009. . . . The Keep Power of God’s Love!

Faster than a speeding bullet. . . .More powerful than a locomotive. . . .Able to leap tall buildings in a single bound! You don’t have to look up in the sky or determine if it’s a bird or a plane, I’m talking about the keeping power of God’s love! It’s so amazing when you think about it! Nothing (No Thing) or nobody can separate us from it! Now, that’s power! Hear again the Apostle Paul’s description of it: “Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Rom 8:35-39 KJV) I think that list covers anything and anyone we may encounter! If His love went to the extreme extent of saving us. . . . that same love yet prevails and will keep us! What a wonderful since of security. In the words of Oleta Adams, (one of my favorite singers), “This love won’t harm you. . . This love remains true. . . . This love is for you not against you. . . .This love won’t fail!

Prayer: Lord, thank you for loving me like you do! How awesome you are and your love is incomprehensible! May it keep me forever and bring me safely and securely into eternity. Amen!

Rom 8:35-39. . . . Who then can ever keep Christ's love from us? When we have trouble or calamity, when we are hunted down or destroyed, is it because he doesn't love us anymore? And if we are hungry or penniless or in danger or threatened with death, has God deserted us? No, for the Scriptures tell us that for his sake we must be ready to face death at every moment of the day-we are like sheep awaiting slaughter; but despite all this, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ who loved us enough to die for us. For I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from his love. Death can't, and life can't. The angels won't, and all the powers of hell itself cannot keep God's love away. Our fears for today, our worries about tomorrow, or where we are-high above the sky, or in the deepest ocean-nothing will ever be able to separate us from the love of God demonstrated by our Lord Jesus Christ when he died for us. Mirror Image!

6-17-2009. . . .Mirror Image!

Isn’t it amazing the members of any given family remarkably and unmistakably look alike. To look at one is to see the resemblance of all the others. As believers, we are a part of God’s family. Ask yourself this question: when people look at me, can they see the family resemblance? Can people see the image of Christ in me? “For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the likeness of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers.” ( Rom 8:29-30 NIV) When we were a part of the world we bore the resemblance of the world, but now we are being transformed from the world’s image into the image of Christ. “But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.” ( 2 Cor 3:18 NKJV) At times, it may be subtle and at other times more obvious, nevertheless, the transformation process continues and will continue until Jesus returns. “Dear friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known. But we know that when he appears, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is. Everyone who has this hope in him purifies himself, just as he is pure.” (1 John 3:2-3 NIV)

Prayer: Thank you Lord for adopting me into your family. Thank you for transforming me by the Holy Spirit’s power into the very image of your Son, Jesus Christ. Amen!

Eph 1:3-6. . . .Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love: Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will, To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved. Pay Day Is Coming!

6-16-2009. . . . Pay Day Is Coming!

There are times when it seems that giving your all is in vain and to continue giving your all would be to no avail. To make matters worst, the persons you serve or those who benefit from your work and efforts are often unappreciative and unthankful. It is easy to become frustrated and even bitter and want to through up both hands and give up. DON’T! “And let us not get tired of doing what is right, for after a while we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don't get discouraged and give up. (Gal 6:9 TLB) Paid day is coming! Remember, your work and service is not unto man, but unto God! It is He alone that will pay! “These things I have told you are all true. Insist on them so that Christians will be careful to do good deeds all the time, for this is not only right, but it brings results. (Titus 3:8 TLB)

Prayer: Lord, thank you for the work you've assigned to my hands. Holy Spirit, help me to maintain a good attitude and never become discouraged. May all I do please you in every way! Amen.

Col 3:23-25. . . . Work hard and cheerfully at all you do, just as though you were working for the Lord and not merely for your masters, 24 remembering that it is the Lord Christ who is going to pay you, giving you your full portion of all he owns. He is the one you are really working for. 25 And if you don't do your best for him, he will pay you in a way that you won't like-for he has no special favorites who can get away with shirking. TLB

A Threefold Blessing!

6-15-2009. . . . A Threefold Blessing!

As Aaron and his son’s pronounced this threefold blessing upon the children of Israel, It is pronounced now upon you: “The LORD bless thee, and keep thee: The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace. “( Num 6:24-26 KJV) Protect. . . .Prosper. . . . .Favor! If God does not do anything else for us, this threefold blessing will be enough to cover all situations and meet every need. Begin this week with the assurance of knowing: You are protected. . . . You will prosper. . . .You will have God’s favor on your life. Speak this blessing into the lives of as many people as you can. “Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee: and the light shall shine upon thy ways.”( Job 22:28 KJV) What you send out, will return to you!

Prayer: Thank you Lord for blessing me today in every area of my life! May your threefold blessing manifest abundantly in the lives others as well as, my own. Amen!

Gen 12:2-3. . . . And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing: And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed. KJV

Righteous One!

6-12-2009. . . .Righteous One!

Hello, Righteous one! That’s right. . . . .I’m talking to you! Contrary to what the enemy tries to make us believe, we are righteous because God through Jesus Christ, made us righteous! “For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.” (2 Cor 5:21 KJV) We don’t have to work to become righteous (Satan’s lie) we have been made righteous! God took the garment of sin off of us, and put it on Jesus! He took the garment of righteousness off Jesus, and put it on us. What a great exchange! “Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed. “ (1 Peter 2:24 KJV) All the work has been done! So, today and everyday, walk in righteousness. . . .live in righteousness. . . .be righteous!

Prayer: Lord, thank you for making me righteous! I could not have done on my own! Holy Spirit guide me daily in the ways of righteous. Amen.

Ps 23:1-3. . . . The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. KJV

The Measure of Faith!

6-11-2009. . . . The Measure of Faith!

You have all the faith you need! God has already given it to you. With your assigned destiny came the measure of faith needed to accomplished it! “For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith. (Rom 12:3 KJV) In other words, think seriously and accurately about your faith and operate within the parameters of the measure of faith you have been given. Operating outside those parameters results in ‘faulty faith’ that may cause you to face some circumstances that you may not have otherwise had to face. Peter is a good example of this. He is celebrated for having faith to get out of the boat and walk to Jesus on the water. He was doing alright until he realized he was operating outside the parameters of his faith; then reality hit him and he began to sink. Fortunately, Jesus was there to rescue him. Jesus questioned, "O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt?" (Matt 14:31KJV) Put another way, why did you choose to operate outside your measure of faith? Upon further examination of the text we discover Jesus had given Peter and the other disciples specific instructions: Get in the ship. . .Go before me to the other side! Clear and specific instructions. True faith always operates within it’s parameters (it’s measure) and results in obedience to the Lord’s instructions! If Peter had simply remembered and obeyed the Lord’s instructions, he would not have nearly lost his life. Are you operating according to the measure of faith given you or, are operating outside the parameters? Check the results and you know the answer.

Prayer: Lord, thank you for giving me the faith that it takes to believe you, obey you and accomplish all you have destined for me! Constrain me to operate fully, yet only within the parameters of the faith you have given me. Amen!

Heb 11:6. . . . But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. KJV

A Very Present Help!

6-10-2009. . . .

A Very Present Help! “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.”(Ps 46:1 KJV) God is not just present with us, but He is very present! That is, He is tested, tried and proven. Unlike others, God is reliable! He can always be depended upon. He is our refuge! In Him we are shielded from danger and protected. He is also our source of help and relief in times of stress and trouble. Live life with assurance of knowing, “The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah. (Ps 46:11KJV)

Prayer: Thank you Lord, you are always with me! Help me understand that I am with you as well! Amen.

Ps 46:7-10. . . . The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah. Come, behold the works of the LORD, what desolations he hath made in the earth. He maketh wars to cease unto the end of the earth; he breaketh the bow, and cutteth the spear in sunder; he burneth the chariot in the fire. Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth. KJV

Power Source!

6-8-2009. . . .Power Source!

In this modern age, our lives are made easy by wonderful electrical appliances that can do everything. Cook, clean, entertain, compute, you name it. Without a power source however, every appliance would be rendered useless. Although they come equipped with a power cord and plug, they must be connected to a power source in order to work properly. Our power source is God! We cannot and will not operate properly except we are connected to Him. David understood this and declared, “God is my strength and power: and he maketh my way perfect. (2 Sam 22:33 KJV) As we begin this new week, look to God for your strength and power! “God hath spoken once; twice have I heard this; that power belongeth unto God. (Ps 62:11 KJV) God makes His great power available to us. “He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength.” (Isa 40:29 KJV) Today, “…be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. (Eph 6:10 KJV)

Prayer: Lord you are my power source! Through you I can do anything, and so I will! Thank you for all that I will accomplish by and through your power today and everyday! Amen.

Ps 147:5. . . . Great is our Lord, and of great power: his understanding is infinite. KJV

The Fear Factor!

6-5-2009 The Fear Factor!

Fear is a spirit that does not come from God, but out of that realm where spiritual wickedness resides. Like a chilling breeze that blows over you in the evening, fear comes to Hinder. . . .Halt. . . .Hassle. . . .Harass. . . .Hamper and even Harm. Fear also Helps! In what way? I’m glad you asked. Fear helps remind us of who we are and what we have been given. “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. (2 Tim 1:7 KJV) For God hath not given 'US'! Who is the Us? Believers! The enemy attacks us with fear usually because of the awesome assignment or opportunity God has set before us. Often, because the assignment or opportunity is beyond our own comprehension, the enemy seizes the moment and sends in the fear factor to steal, kill or destroy what is before us. The object is for us to forget that God has equipped us with tools to overcome the fear factor. POWER. . . .LOVE. . . .A SOUND MIND! 1) POWER. . . ability and strength (Dunamis) as well as, authority and privilege (Exousia). You already have all it takes for victory! 2) LOVE. . .this love is a fighter against fear. “There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment.“(1 John 4:18KJV) 3) A SOUND MIND. . . Discipline and self-control! In other words, the ability to decide and choose to ‘Fear’ or ‘Fear Not’! “…For God has said, "I will never, never fail you nor forsake you. That is why we can say without any doubt or fear, The Lord is my Helper, and I am not afraid of anything that mere man can do to me." (Heb 13:5-6 TLB)

Prayer: Lord, thank you for helping recognize that the spirit of fear is not from you. Therefore, I do not have to allow it to find residence within me. Thank you for ability, strength, authority, privilege, love, discipline and self-control! Fear cannot and will not reside here! Amen.

Ps 118:5-7. . . . In my distress I prayed to the Lord, and he answered me and rescued me. He is for me! How can I be afraid? What can mere man do to me? The Lord is on my side; he will help me. Let those who hate me beware. TLB

Christ Our All in All!

6-4-2009. . . . Christ, Our All in All!

In a time of confusion and indecision, Thomas, one of the disciples questioned, “…Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way? (John 14:5 KJV) His question referred to Jesus’ announcement that He would be leaving and going to prepare a place for them. Put another way, he asked, ‘How are we to live and make it without you’? Jesus replied, “I am the way, the truth, and the life:...(John 14:6 KJV) Jesus never intended for His disciples or us to live without Him, but to live by Him. . . .In Him. . . .and through Him. In Him is all we need! He is the Way! (Direction) We need never stray or loose or way if we keep our eyes focused on Him. He is the Truth! (Measure) As with the plumbline of Amos 7, so Christ is the measure by which we determine what we allow in our lives and what we eliminate from our lives. Everything and everyone that does not stand up to the measure of the truth of Christ is not for us. He is the Life! (Resource) “For in him we live, and move, and have our being;…” (Acts 17:28 KJV ) As our resource we need not be in want. It is what David meant when describing the Lord as his shepherd, “I Shall Not Want.” “But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” (Phil 4:19 KJV)

Prayer:
Lord thank you that you are my all in all! There is nothing I need outside of you! Holy Spirit keep me mindful that you are my Direction – Measure and Resource. Amen!

Ps 19:7-10. . . . The law of the LORD is perfect, reviving the soul. The statutes of the LORD are trustworthy, making wise the simple. The precepts of the LORD are right, giving joy to the heart. The commands of the LORD are radiant, giving light to the eyes. The fear of the LORD is pure, enduring forever. The ordinances of the LORD are sure and altogether righteous. They are more precious than gold, than much pure gold; they are sweeter than honey, than honey from the comb. NIV

If You Want It, Go and Get It!

6-3-2009. . . .If You Want it, Go and Get It!

News flash!!!! There are giants in ‘YOUR’ land! What are you going to do? Will you continue to live in fear and refuse to go up and take what God has already declared is yours? The obvious reference here is to the children of Israel and their opportunity to go get what God had given, ye even promised them. They did their due diligence by sending out twelve investigators (spies) to get all the necessary information. PREPARATION! Ten investigators reported that the challenges that would have to be faced in order to take the land were to big to overcome (giants). Two investigators however, reported that there are tremendous challenges, but we are well able to overcome them. POSITION! In spite of the challenges you must face, the choice you make now will determine whether you are positioned for victory or defeat. PROMISE! " And they spake unto all the company of the children of Israel, saying, The land, which we passed through to search it, is an exceeding good land. “ If the LORD delight in us, then he will bring us into this land, and give it us; a land which floweth with milk and honey. Only rebel not ye against the LORD, neither fear ye the people of the land; for they are bread for us: their defense is departed from them, and the LORD is with us: fear them not.” (Num 14:7-9 KJV) If you want it, go and get it. It’s yours!

Prayer: Lord, thank you for all your promises to me! Holy Spirit, help me with my PREPARATION, guide me into the right POSITION, ready me to receive your PROMISE! Amen.

2 Chron 20:17. . . . Ye shall not need to fight in this battle: set yourselves, stand ye still, and see the salvation of the LORD with you, O Judah and Jerusalem: fear not, nor be dismayed; to morrow go out against them: for the LORD will be with you. KJV

Are You Wise?

6-2-2009. . . . Are You Wise!

Are you wise? I know you have wisdom, but are you wise? I mean, Proverbs 11:30 wise? “The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life, and he who wins souls is wise.” Prov 11:30. Over the course of your life, how many souls can you say you’ve won? While in a narrow since, the implication of this verse suggest evangelism and witnessing, the broader implication refers more to ‘influence’! What kind of influence are we having on the people that cross our paths daily? Be assured, in one form or another, influence is occurring! The question becomes, ‘Are we influencing or, are we being influenced?’ If we are ‘Wise,’ the Holy Spirit’s influence on us is enabling us to influence others for the kingdom. “Those who are wise will shine like the brightness of the heavens, and those who lead many to righteousness, like the stars for ever and ever. (Dan 12:2-3 NIV) When the roll is called and the books are opened, what will the tally be? Time is winding up and we are winding up with time. Seize the moment ye righteous ones! Influence the world!

Prayer: Lord, thank you that through your son, Jesus Christ, I have been made righteous! Let your righteousness daily manifest in me to influence others for your Kingdom. Amen!

2 Peter 3:9 . . . . The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance. NKJV

The Helper Is Here!

6-1-2009. . . . The Helper Is Here!

“If you love Me, keep My commandments. And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever -- the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you. (John 14:15-18NKJV) As believers, there is nothing we will ever face alone! No problem. . . no trouble. . .no pain. . . . no test or trial. The ‘Helper’ the Holy Spirit is here with us and will never leave us. He is here to give us wise council, guidance and comfort when we incur life’s inevitable hurts and pains. He is here! Thank God, He is here. Rely upon Him as your resource and recourse. “But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you. (John 14:26NIV)

Prayer: Lord, thank you for sending the Holy Spirit! Holy Spirit, you are welcome in me. I surrender control to you. Restrain me when I’m tempted to go back on my word!

Prov 3:5-6. . . .Trust in the LORD with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths. NKJV
